Last Saturday I went for Korean food for my dinner. First time I see Korean Restaurant serve BBQ pig skin, I've been to many Korean restaurants in Qingdao and this is the first restaurant serve BBQ pig skin. Spicy pig skin, not fat and after eat it don't feel jelat. =P

Solar Eclipse

Yesterday in China or most of the Asia place having the solar eclipse. In China there are places can view a full solar eclipse but unfortunately in Qingdao only got 85% of the solar eclipse. Although only 85% but I feel that is already very amaze me. During the eclipse was office hour, so during that time I curi curi went to down stair to view the eclipse. We used a special glass to view it and I manage to snap photos on it. Due to my camera not a SLR camera and this is the quality of the picture that I got.

Back to Qingdao for work already. The one week holiday pass so fast and I wish I can stop the time then I can spend more time in Malaysia. Back to Qingdao already got new assignment. My new assignment is to find out all the software that using in the unit. Been stuck with meeting and interview all the departments in the company to find out what are the software that are using in their department. The list that provided by IT from 25 softwares grow to 88 softwares. -.-" I need to update the list for them. Dateline will be this coming friday.

Minor Surgery..

There is an ulcer grow in my mouth and this ulcer unlike the normal ulcer. Usually when we have ulcer, we gargle with salt water then u will feel abit pain at the ulcer. Where my ulcer even u put a patch of salt there, don't feel any thing. This getting me worried and I told my colleague about it. She told me better go hospital see doctor and check out what happen.

Since today is off day so I went to the hospital and consult the doctor. This is my first time seeing doctor in China. I get myself register at the counter and go to the relative department to wait for the doctor. When my turn the doctor check on me and said that I need a specialist doctor to check on me. At that moment, I feel so damn worry and i think it must be very serious that until need a specialist to check on me!

Finally my turn to see the doctor. He just checked and start preparing the surgery stuff. I don't even have a chance to say No to the surgery -.-" Then the used a cloth cover my face and the cloth have a hole and the doctor anesthetic my mouth and start removing the ulcer. I can hear the sound of pulling stitches.

The surgery very fast i think it lasted 15 minutes and the total bill of the surgery and medicine is RMB 310.

This is really a new experience for me and I hope this is the last 1!!! I do not need to go through it!

全聚德 - 北京烤鸭 Peking Roast Duck

Last night my colleague brought me to a nice restaurant serving Peking Roast Duck. I was wondering 2 persons can finish whole bird of duck?!?! Luckily the restaurant serve half duck so we ordered half duck, sour and spicy cucumber and duck meat fried rice.

Chef cut few pieces best part of the duck skin. These duck skin melt in your mouth. It is different from the Peking Duck that I had in KL.

Duck meat fried rice, the taste not bad. Just that both of us too ambitious order the fried rice. At the end, we take away the left over fried rice and the duck.

Time flies so fast 1 week past means that time to go to Qingdao! I'm gonna miss my family, my friends and food in Malaysia. This round go don't know when I will return back to Malaysia. Probably next year only come back unless my company send me back to Malaysia for work.

Today I went to Mongkok for some junk food, I pass by some sport shops and some of them having sale so I went in. This particular shop having sale on converse shoes and I wanted a pair of converse for some time. I tried it and find it nice and I paid for it.

I spent my last Sunday at Lamma Island(南丫岛) Hong Kong. I heard from my Hong Kong colleagues saying the seafood there is very fresh and nice. After my hiking trail is already 3pm afternoon and I was so worried that the seafood restaurant is closed. Luckily all of them still open for business. =P

Finally I went to this Tai Yuen Seafood Restaurant (泰菀鱼翅海鲜酒家). The total cost for 1 person with all the foods below was HKD 220.00

My new toy - iPod Classic (Black)

It was a surprise gift from my lovely brothers. They bought the iPod for me as my birthday present. This iPod was engraved my name on it!!! My brothers know that I need to travel alot for my new job, so they got me this iPod for me so that during my traveling I can listen to music and video. The bought me the Black iPod Classic. The moment that I got it, I was so touch. I'm so lucky that my brothers love me so much! Thanks Dai Ko and Yee Ko.

年宵花市 New Year Fair - Hong Kong

Yesteday after work, my colleague and I went to Victoria Park at Causeway bay. We were being told that the "Fa Si" (年宵花市) started on Tuesday. Both of us never been to the "Fa Si" so we went there together. I heard alot about the "Fa Si" from all the Hong Kong series and finally I got the chance to experience it myself.

The "Fa Si" divided into 2 portion wet and dry. Wet will be selling all kinds of flowers and dry will be all the funny funny items. Most of the items suitable for chinese new year like chinese new year decoration, "Fung Cheh" (风车), traditional food for chinese new year, funny funny items that the students design and selll in the fair and etc.

Chinese Dumplings Dinner

Last night before I went to see apartment with my colleague, my colleague brought me to chinese dumplings shop(饺子店) in Jusco Qingdao for dinner. In northern region, dumplings is very common so I think should give a try. This shop serve different stuffing dumplings and soups.

For me I order one appetiser "Garlic Cucumber" (蒜泥黄瓜) and two type of dumplings "Pork with vegetables" (韭菜猪肉) and "Pork with Onions" (大葱猪肉).

Pork with vegetables" (韭菜猪肉) and "Pork with Onions" (大葱猪肉) - The stuffing very proportion and it taste good when you dip into chilies oil with vinegar.

Cold dish seaweed (海带)

Garlic Cucumber" (蒜泥黄瓜) - the cucumber so crunchy unlike the one I tried in Malaysia the cucumber is not crunchy and can't taste the garlic

The meal is so cheap. Each portion come with six dumplings and is only cost RMB 4.00 and the appetiser only cost RMB 5. Total cost for my dinner inclusive a drink is only RMB19.00.

I bought a new pair of crocs in China with RMB 100.00. This is a olympic edition crocs. The colour of the crocs is red and the strap is in yellow. It is very striking! In China they don't encourage using plastic bag, each plastic bag you request is chargable. In Malaysia when buy the crocs they will wrap your crocs with a see through plastic bag but in China they put your shoes into the recycle bag which is much nicer compare in Malaysia

My first dinner in Qingdao was Korean food. There are plenty of Korean restaurants in Qingdao according to my colleague due to Qingdao is very near to Korea. We just went to the Korean restaurant that near the hotel that I'm staying. The moment we entered to the restaurant I found out alot of Korean eating there. My colleague told me probably some of them are Chinese with korean speaking.

We saw alot of people ordering the hotplate so we asked the waitress what are those? She told us is their shop hot selling dish Grill Spicy Duck. We decided to order that to give a try. On top of that we also ordered Kimchi pan cake.

Finally I finished packing for my stay in China. Tomorrow I'll be taking the morning flight to Beijing and transit to Qingdao. By the time I reach Qingdao will be 8pm. I guess when I reach hotel should be 10 something. Oh gosh...come to think about it is very tiring!

The best thing is the next day I need to go office. The driver come and pick me up at 7am. I guess I need catch some sleep as much as possible when I'm on the flight but I guess I'll be watching movie instead...=P

From tomorrow onwards is a totally new start for me! I'll be on my own already. I'm missing my family and friends. I'm thinking how am I going to survive?

Bird Nest

Today my mum made bird nest soup "Yin Wor" for us. I was requesting my mum to make it for me before I go to China. When I told my mum, she said she already soaked the bird nest and preparing it today. After dinner mum told me the "Yin Wor" is ready!

Before I go to sleep, I took the "Yin Wor". Some people said is good to eat it before go to bed. Some Hongkies said that the best time to eat it at 4am morning!! Me definitely not going to wake up and eat it!!!Hahaha......After I scoped it out, I snap some photos of it cause that's my mum "Oi Sum Yin Wor"!! Thanks mum for making such a nice "Yin Wor"!

Today is my last day in Cuscapi. Although the time here is short, I feel sad to leave cause we are getting closer to each other!

I shall start counting down the days now. I've made the decision to leave Malaysia and work in China. All these happen very fast until I also don't know how to react on it but at the end I accepted the job offer and I'm going to work there at least for 2 years.

I'll start my new job on 5th of January 2009 and I'll be flying to China on 4th January 2009.

Now I start missing my family and friends in Malaysia when come to think about it. =(

My new nike airmax 180+! My walking shoes sole came out few months ago so I need to get a new pair of shoes. Finally I got myself this pair of shoes. What is Nike airmax 180+. With the + means that I can get the use my nike + iPod Sport kits to record my workouts!! The 180+ iPod Sport Kit provides a wireless link between your running shoes and your music player!! So far I only have enough money to buy the shoes. Probably Ipod nano will be my next item in my list! =P

Dinner @ Kim Gary Mid Valley

Last night I went to Mid Valley for movie. After movie, I went to Kim Garry with my colleagues for dinner. I ordered the "Four Seas Noodle Set". Typically you tick what you want so my colleague and I choose to have that noodle set. After 1o minutes, my colleague Jackal called me that the meal that I ordered is not available during dinner time.

I think they should inform us that the meal is not available when he confirm the orders with us. They only informed us that after 1o minutes which making me not happy. The thing is I can't find a single word saying that meal is only available for "Lunch". I felt that I'm being cheated!

When I try to ask them why the meal is not available for dinner but it printed on the menu and waitress just walk away like not her problem! On top of that when they told us the meal is not available they just gave back the paper that we ordered which is not available and not even a menu or new ticking menu for us to reorder the food. I was damn piss!!! Probably you will think this is a small matter.

From now on, I won't be dining at Kim Gary. Anyway I find the food not that great!

My cute little nephew loves to eat and play. Every time when we having dinner at home, he sure wants to join the adult for dinner. In his small little mind always think that the adult food is better. It has been more than half a year we didn't do any BBQ at home. Finally last weekend my brother suggested to have BBQ dinner at home. My brother loves cooking and most of the weekend he cooks dinner for us. As usual my brother was the main chef !! I'm the chef helper to prepare all the side dishes. Our main course is Rib Eye Steak.

We started our dinner with Brie cheese with crackers and wine. We were chit chatting while waiting the food to serve.

All of us enjoyed the dinner very much! Thanks "ko"!!!

Lately my colleagues and I been working late and there are no food for us when we are hungry. So yesterday after work my colleagues and I went to Carrefour to do some grocery shopping for our department.

Yesterday after my gua tempurung adventurous we decided to have our lunch at Bidor. We went to the famous restaurant in the town Pun Chun Restaurant. This restaurant famous with the Duck Soup Noodle.

Dry noodle with duck leg soup (鸭腿面)

The soup abit salty and the noodle abit bland. I need to add soya sauce into it. The noodle is not up to my expectation.

I think the best duck noodle was back in my home town. The chinese herbs in the soup is just nice and not too salty and is hot till no steam coming out . The noodle texture just nice and they don't use dark soya sauce for the noodle. Unfortunately the shop closed down due to the owner in old age. I miss that very much!

Japanese Pan Cake

Last night after had my dinner, I tried to find something sweet to finish off my meal! Usually I won't crave for sweet stuff but some how I feel like having sweet stuff. I was at Takashimaya basement where selling all the food so I pass by this Japanese Pan Cake store and I saw lot's of flavour of Japanese Pan Cake. In my thought I should give a try and I pick Strawberry with Cheese flavour.

I find is quite a good bargain for a dessert. It taste good, not too sweet and it is generous with the strawberry filling. I think is worth for my SGD 1.30

Last week one of ex-colleague from Penang came down to KL for work so I met her up for dinner. Our original plan was after dinner we meet other friends at Wow Wow Cafe at Plaza Damas so we decided to have our dinner at Plaza Damas. At first thought of having Vietnamese food. I wanted to bring her to something she haven't try before and ended up I brought my ex-colleague to Fogal Meat Market.

This shop basically selling meat. In the same time, they also serve the food at their shop. We ordered Sausages meal and Burger meal. All the meals came with 2 side dishes from chip, mash potato, wedges, salad, coleslaw and steam vegetables. My friend chose beef sausages and pork sausages with wedges and coleslaw and I chose Beef Burger with mash potato and salad. I wanted to try the lamb burger but my friend she don't eat lamb so i take the beef burger.

My friend enjoy the meal very much at the restaurant. She said she will bring her boss to this restaurant.

Two weeks ago I went to my client site at Mid Valley. My colleague and I is reached there about 2pm and we haven't have our lunch. We pass by alexis bistro @ Gardens.

We decided to have lunch @ alexis bistro. Every day alexis have set lunch and we decided to take the set lunch.

My colleague took the Set Lunch A @ RM28.00. Set Lunch A consist of Prawn cakes with special sambal (Appetizer), Nasi Lemak, Squid Sambal, fried prawns and dessert is sago gula melaka. The prawn cakes with the special sambal is very good and you can taste the chunk of prawn. When the food served that we are too hungry and I totally forgot to take the picture. =P

Myself taking the Set Lunch B @ RM 25.00. Set Lunch B consists of Soup of the day, alexis club sandwich and dessert of the day. My soup of the day was pumpkin soup. The soup very creamy, pumpkin taste very strong and the serving of the soup is huge. For the club sandwich, they are very generous with the meat in the sandwich, they also put avocado and the bread is soft. My dessert was the Chocolate Cake. By the time I finished my soup and sandwich I already very full and decided to take away my dessert.

Overall the food not bad, and it is not too expensive and it is affordable. =)

2V1G Performance @ No Black Tie

Last night i went for a Jazz Performance @ No Black Tie. Thanks to Villie & Kong, the reservation was made by them. The seats that we got also nice, not too far and not too close to the stage. Basically I joined them without knowing who is performing. When Ivy told me about Jazz Performance @ No Black Tie, I just told her count me in. =P

I only came to know about 2V1G yesterday. The performance only 2 vocalists Regine Tai and Winne Ho and a guitar Roger Wang. Their performance @ No Black Tie was rocks!!! I enjoyed my night @ No Black Tie!

Since I was in Uni I heard alot about No Black Tie. No Black Tie is a famous Jazz Club in KL and finally today I've got a chance to go there.

Tonight I went for "2V1G" performance and is full house! This is the first time that in No Black Tie have a Chinese Group Jazz performance.

Last Friday on my way to have BKT (Bak Kut Teh) for lunch, my car tyre puncture due to my careless driving. On my way out from the parking, I ran on the ramp edge of the parking exit and cause the tyre cut. Before I reach the traffic light, my front right tyre is flat. I have to pull over at the road side.

That time was lunch hour, most of my colleagues pass by and saw my car pull over. My boss was one of it and they stopped down and check out what happen to my car. I was so embarrassing!

Thank god that my hero of that day Jason was in my car and he knows how to change tyre!! He helped me to change to the spare tyre. After fixed the spare tyre only realised that my spare tyre air pressure is not enough. I have to drive alone to the petrol station and pump in the pressure to the tyre.

A lesson to learn for those who drive, always make sure your spare tyre got enough pressure just in case that you car tyre puncture like me. I'm so lucky that during that incident my colleagues was there and helped me. If not myself not sure how to change the spare tyre! I seen people did it but I never get my hand dirty on it.

Last night after my drink with my friends, we decided to go for supper to sober down after so much of drinks. We went to the mamak store near the bar. My friend ordered Chicken Murtabak and when the Murtabak served both of us so shock when we saw the Murtabak. That's the smallest Murtabak that I even seen!!!

Working Weekend

It has been ages that I need to work during weekend.
This weekend I'm working together with my colleagues at Starbucks Subang Jaya.
We need to finish some work for Monday so we have no choice to work during the weekend to meet the dateline. My manager suggested to us work in the office but I told him is a weekend and I prefer not to work in office. =P So we decided working at Starbucks cause the free Wifi and cozy environment. Hopefully by today we can finish all the work and no need to drag till sunday. At least all of us got a day rest!

最近看了本书名为“妳在谁身边，都是我心底的缺”。书名把我吸引而买下这本书。
看完这本书觉得女主角很倔强。
她的性格和我有点相似的。幸运的她遇到她爱的人而我还在等待着。
在书里，我特别喜欢这一句“虽然爱不到，但是仍然爱，默默的爱，深藏不露的爱，用我最自己的方式爱。”
不管对方爱不爱你，只管用自己最真的方式去爱对方也不去计较回报。

I've been talking to get a new badminton for ages and finally I made that move and I bought a new badminton racquet.

Nowadays badminton racquets are much cheaper compare to last time. I paid RM 110.00 for the new badminton racquet and it came with the bag. I guess it will last me another 3 to 4 years gua.. =P

JR(Japan Rail) Pass

If you plan to travel to japan free & easy, one of the thing you must get is the JR Pass. Although this pass is not cheap (28,300 Yen around RM 800++ based on Yen exchange rate) but i think is still worth to get it.

There are 2 types of JR Pass, ordinary and green pass. The pass that I bought was ordinary pass and ordinary pass is already very good! If you need more information about JR Pass, you can go Japan Rail.

With this pass you can travel on all types of Shinkansen(Bullet train) except "Nozomi", Buses, trains and ferry UNLIMITED that operated by Japan Rail.

When I travel to Japan, my sister and I bought the JR Pass before we leave the country(JR Pass need to purchase outside of Japan). My sister colleague Jacqui did not buy the JR Pass so when we travel to Kyoto via Shinkansen she need to pay around 27,000 Yen for the return tickets. At that time, I really felt that luckily that I got the JR Pass!!

Although is unlimited rides, for Shinkansen you need to go the JR Counter to exchange the Shinkansen tickets. =)

In Tokyo, I just need to flash my JR pass to the officer at the station and I lazy till walking distance I also take the trains. =P

This is my first time to Disneyland and I'm so excited that finally I visit to Disneyland!

From the place that i stayed Shinagawa, it took me about 40 minutes to reach Disneyland. I need to change another train at Tokyo Station to Keiyo Line that going to Disneyland. I spent a whole day at Disneyland till night time.

In Disneyland, I tried to watch as many as shows as I can.

Crabby Dinner with my buddies!

Last night i had dinner with my buddies from ex-company. This group of friends all like crabby except David. He not a seafood person, so he just see us eating crabs. We ordered fried sotong for him.

There are 6 of us and we ordered 4 types of crabs.

1. Creamy Butter Crabs is Desmond all time favorite! He like to eat it with deep fried bun(馒头) with the creamy butter sauce.

2. Steamed Crabs with Chinese wine (绍兴酒). This is my all time favorite and Recco too, i like the wine soup in the crab.

3. Black Stout Crabs. This is Yien all time favorite. She likes the stout and she licks the shell till very clean. =P

4. Salted Eggs Crabs. This round they made the salted eggs crabs very yummy compare to the last round that i tried. They put alot of salted egg yolks.

After so many crabs i felt very guilty and i guess the whole week breakie will be oats to kill off the cholesterol from crabs.

Injured my ankle again

This is m second time sprained my ankle within 2 months time....

The first time I sprained my ankle when I was on my way to my client office. That time I sprained my ankle at the Senai Airport.

This time I sprained my ankle when I was doing exercise. The doctor warn me that this time I need to take extra care for my ankle if not I'll be suffering and it is easy to sprain again.

Due to this injure, I've to postpone my business trip. The doctor warn me not to walk so much. Basically within 1 month I can't do any exercise. =(

The hotel that i stay they served either Japanese breakfast or English breakfast.

The first two days i picked Japanese breakfast. The first day
i had the steam rice and second day i had porridge.

Been dreaming to go to Japan and finally now i boarded the flight to Narita Japan on 15th Jan 2008.

I reached Narita at 6.35pm. It took me 50 minutes to clear the immigration!

今晚我在某个公开的场所唱这首歌，也是我第一次在公开场所唱歌。

最近买了本书“来不及听你说爱我”。
之前我是听广播剧，当时未能把结局听完就上网寻找是否可以下载广播剧。
找了很久都没办法下载到广播剧还无意中发现有这本书。
我只好在书店逛是否有这本书，皇天不负有心人终于给我找到了。
终于一口气在一天内看完了，结局是我意想不到的。
当你遇到了你所爱的人记得和他或她说“我爱你”和珍惜你身边的人。
要不然当你要说的时候可能已经太迟了。
